The attention to detail on this Sterling silver brooch is extremely fine. The bullrush heads are oxidised, and the long swirling rushes have been treated with a light gold wash with a central strip of oxidisation. The sculptural effect is stunning, particularly as this is a large brooch.

I do not know who designed this brooch. I think the construction is too early for Gertrud Engel. It remains an anonymous masterpiece.

Excellent no nicks or scratches. Gently used and not overpolished. Lovely patina.

Good spring in pin. Elongated covered clasp (not roll-over, but quite secure)
