AM G Engel Grass brooch & earrings

designed for Anton Michelsen
Getrud Engel designed many stylised foliage and flowers motifs for Anton Michelsen(see designer profile) in the 1950s and 1960s. She is Swedish, and her work was sometimes also produced by Michelsen's sister company in Sweden. This set belongs to to one of the first series she created, entitled 'Grass', featured in Ginger Moro's book European Designer Jewellery p.250. The collection also includes a larger brooch, a necklace and a bracelet.
As can be seen on the photo, the earrings are fitted with screws, but any competent jeweller could remove the screw so that they could be worn through the ear
