AM Royal Copenhagen cufflinks 3, black & white
designed for Anton Michelsen
When Royal Copenhagen Porcelain took over the Anton Michelsen silver company in 1968, designers from both disciplines were encouraged to collaborate (see profile). Here is another example of the collaboration, in white. The designers were the ceramicist Bodil Buch and and the silversmith Jens Windfeld Hansen, who worked together at Royal Copenhagen between 1969 and 1974. The front of this large cufflink consists of a large rectangular tray of silver, into which are set 6 black and white porcelain segments moulded together (rather like on a bar of chocolate), each topped with a small silver ball.>The back is a plain silver oval
