designed for Royal Copenhagen

When Royal Copenhagen Porcelain took over the Anton Michelsen silver company in 1968, designers from both disciplines were encouraged to collaborate (see profile). Here is an example of such collaboration, where the main emphasis is on the porcelain plaque decorated with imprinted daisies which are coloured with gold and coral. The designer was Nils Thorsson, who was the artistic director of Royal Copenhagen and who had introduced the silk-screen 'Baca' designs on Aluminia fajance in the early 1960s.

The gold-washed bale was made by Anton Michelsen.

The pendant comes with the gold-tone chain with which it was purchased.
