Bronze Age replica No 204, re-designed as a brooch
From the early Bronze Age (1500-800 BC).
The ornamented disc is the lid of a trinket box found at Kassemosehøj, Copenhagen. Trinket boxes were worn by the bronze age women on a belt around her waist and in it she kept her toilet articles as well as small amulets such as bones of a weasel, pieces of gold, rowan-berry twig, charcoal, pebbles and other of a very curious nature.
This interesting pre-owned brooch comes with its original explanatory leaflet.
