Juhls silver brooch/pin
designed for other Norwegian Designers
This brooch comes from the workshop of Regine and Frank Juhls, which they established in 1959 in Kautokeino, in northern Norway. Regine, originally from Germany, and Frank, from Denmark, had met up there whilst they were both trying to 'get away from it all'. They set up home together and became inspired both by the Sami culture, and the wild and desolate natural surroundings. This brooch may have been influenced by traditional Sami jewellery.
