Just Andersen started own workshop in 1918 and after his death in 1943 the workshop was re-established in 1954 until 1973. I have several pieces from this workshop in my private collection, all of the highest quality and designed in the prevailing modernist style.
This beautifully sleek brooch is no exception. It is large and substantial (though not heavy). The form resembles stylised leaves, or an Egyptian eye. The central piece is slightly raised from the frame, and is almost floating.
This is indeed a rare treasure.

Excellent used condition. no chips, scratches or other visible defects. Good roll-over safety catch. Pin slightly bent.
