Many of you will have noticed that the web site has been redesigned, and one of the improvements is to allow more than one of a particular item to be included. So where I have acquired another copy of something that I have sold, I can re-open an item for sale without making a new listing for it. That means it will not appear on the 'Newest' page. NO SHIPPING IN JULY 2010
The shipping department will be closed all July. Your orders can still be processed in the usual way, but no items can be posted between 28th June and 3rd August. Sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

Shield Brooch or pendant

This is a lovely, large brooch which can also also has a loop at the top, allowing it to be worn as a pendant. Despite its size, the brooch is light in weight and delicate, due to the intricate filigree construction, onto which are mounted semi-precious stone cabochons from the Middle East.

The brooch/pin has a modern roll-over saftey clasp.

condition

Good. No damage to the silver. One of the cabochons has 2 tiny chips and another has some crazing, neither visible to the naked eye.

marks

There are 3 marks on a little plaque mounted on the rear. They are quite indistinct, but I can make out 2 of them, ISRAEL, 923

size

2" (5cm) in diameter.
